FAQ
How far in advance can I/should I book my session?
My goal is to finish fully retouching your chosen images within 1-2 weeks from your session. If you are planning on giving your images as a gift, please plan your session around 1- 1.5 months out from your gift-giving date in case you need to reschedule due to sickness, or to give time for product shipping. Planning your shoot in advance is more than welcome and will help reduce the amount of things you need to worry about as you get closer to the big day! I'm used to shooting wedding photography, so booking even a year in advance is no problem for me.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, of course!
Do I get to keep digitals of my images?
Every session ends with a a chance to view and order your images. All but the Quickie Collection include images as part of the session fee. These will be delivered on a private, online gallery where you will be free to view and download. Additional images can be added to every collection and included on your gallery.
Do I have to order products?
The Gift and Glamour Collections both come with a discrete linen gift box of your 10 favorite images as 4x6 matted prints which is perfect for you to keep or give as a gift to your lover. There is no pressure to order additional prints or products. The images included in your online gallery (included in the Gift & Glamour Collections) are high-resolution and yours to download should you wish to order your own products elsewhere. Additional images can be added to each collection's gallery.
What if I'm nervous?
That's totally normal! I promise you, everyone starts their session feeling nervous and a little apprehensive and every session ends with us both cracking up and laughing. I do my best to put you at ease and tell some jokes. I like to think of it as a day spent hanging out with a girlfriend trying on outfits and getting dolled up, or heading with them to the beach in a new swimsuit. I want you to have fun in addition to creating beautiful images. I won't stand you on the other side of the room without talking, nor do I expect you to know how to model! I'll talk to you throughout and let you know what I'm doing, and help show and tell you how to pose to look your best. We can always meet for coffee in advance of your shoot too if that will help put your mind at ease that at least I'm not a creeper!
What if I'm not getting married? Can I still book a boudoir session?
Absolutely! While my focus is on brides for marketing, I can definitely shoot a boudoir session for any occassion whether as a self-confidence boosting session for you, or as an anniversary or holiday gift for your lover.
What is your experience?
Short Answer: I've had a decade of professional photography experience and have shot over 150 weddings. I continually hone my craft, studying lighting and posing, to ensure the best experience for my clients possible since I began my photography career in 2008.
Who is your Hair and Makeup Artist?
I have a small handful of talented HMUA that specialize in weddings and who have loads of experience doing hair and makeup for photo shoots and that I trust to make you look your best.
What if I want to use my own Hair and Makeup Artist?
That's great! A bridal boudoir session is a great day to schedule your hair and makeup trial with your wedding. Please reach out to me and we can make sure that we schedule your session appropriately!
Where do you shoot? Do we have to be at my house?
I love the intimacy of capturing you in your space during an in-home session. I think it also adds a lot of meaning to your photos if you're giving them as a gift too seeing them in the space you have made so many memories in! You don't have to live in a fancy home, just tidy up a little before I head over ;)
